Who We Are

Sisters, Kristen and Carrie, grew up during the 1970s and 80s in a small town in Northwest Ohio, where the local grocery store, Chief Supermarket, offered a weekly recipe and information sheet to aid “the modern Home-maker”.

Recently, they were helping their mom move when they discovered a treasure. It was a binder packed full of those delightful sheets called Mary's Memo. They spent hours reminiscing about food from their childhood and giggling over the astonishingly large number of recipes which included cottage cheese, mayonnaise, or gelatin as a main ingredient. The joy they felt began to spark an idea. Wouldn’t it be fun to share that feeling with others? There was only one way to find out.

Since the sisters live with their families in the same suburb of Atlanta, getting together to plan and cook was not an issue. Can you say codependent? A couple of arguments, a few bouts of fisticuffs and they still really like each other (most of the time). Most importantly, they are having a blast creating and presenting Mom's Wooden Spoon for you.
