Mom’s Wooden Spoon - Fixin’ Food & Flickin’ Fannies

Mom’s Wooden Spoon is a US based podcast aimed at causing lots of laughs, a little head shaking and the honoring of home-makers of decades past. The show is hosted by two sisters who offer fun, memories of childhood and a recipe from the 70’s, 80’s or 90’s that may (or may not) have stood the test of time.

Every other week, the hosts will bring to you a dish that speaks to them and pull you in for some fun conversation around that recipe. Occasionally guests will be called on to give it a taste and see if it reminds them of a time of happy nostalgia or maybe one they’d rather forget!

Mom’s Wooden Spoon is a bi-weekly podcast that is available every other Tuesday morning. New episodes are available for download on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and more.

Season 1 ran from September 28 through May 22, 2022.  Season will be dropping on September 25, 2023.

Audience Profile:

Our target market is adults aged 35-90 who are interested in having fun, basking in the glow of nostalgia and taking a moment away from the stressors life can bring.

Mission:

Mom’s Wooden Spoon is the only podcast that uses the strong memories that food creates as a launching pad for a light-hearted conversation, some interesting tid-bits, some sharing of childhood memories and most of all lots of moments of levity. Our show is hosted by two sisters who have many childhood memories to offer, and love to share a fun conversation and a laugh with their friends.

We offer listeners a moment away from their daily life. Our goal is to feel like a food-centric, slow paced and joyful mini-vacation in a hectic world. The use of nostalgia allows us to focus on memories and experiences from the past that add to these positive feelings and leave you smiling.
